Advice to schools on accessing the HIAS RE website via the Services Portal

 

Hampshire maintained schools

Please note that Hampshire maintained schools can access this password protected site free of charge via the Services Portal (SP). Use your Education Account Management Website (EAMW account) logon to access this site.

If that doesn’t work, please speak to your admin officer (SP organisation administrator) as they will have to enable your SP user access to the HIAS RE website. The SP org admin user guide is here; this explains exactly what they will need to do to set up your access. (Please note page 13 of the user guide when it explains that the Hampshire Inspection and Advisory Service RE website box has to be ticked on a user’s account to enable them to have this particular access.)

Please note that a Governor Services SP account is separate to the SP providing Hampshire schools content, so a separate login/email address is required.

If there are continuing issues accessing the Services Portal, please raise an IT service request or contact IT help on 01962 847000. With your headteacher’s approval, IT can set up an alternative Services Portal organisation administrator for your school in seconds, we are told. All IT need is the name and email address of the person who will be your school’s org admin.

If a new org admin request has been actioned by IT, that person should shortly receive an email invitation from noreply@hants.gov.uk to register their account. If they have difficulty locating this message, they should check their spam folder. This registration process is time limited, so please look out for the email and complete the registration promptly and carefully, working through the user guide.

External subscribing schools

Non-Hampshire maintained schools are able to subscribe to the HIAS RE website for £90 + VAT pa. The online subscription form is here. Once your school's subscription is processed, your Services Portal access is set up. If you need to change your school’s SP org admin, please contact IT help on 01962 847000. With your headteacher’s approval, they can set up a Services Portal organisation administrator for your school in seconds we are told. All IT need is the name and email address of the person who will be your school’s org admin.

Moodle and Moodle+

Please note that this is a completely separate website from the HIAS RE website. There is some support for your RE on the RE Moodle site, most of which is open access, so there is no need to login. The only password protected parts of the Moodle are delegates’ course materials and Moodle+ (covering all 13 subjects). Queries on Moodle+ subscriptions should be emailed to htlcdev@hants.gov.uk.
