This hour-long webinar will help teachers increase their confidence in teaching Hindu traditions and provide suggestions for progression in children's knowledge and skill from Foundation Stage to Year 4, together with an overview of areas that are important for enquiry using the Hampshire locally agreed syllabus, Living Difference IV.

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • Appreciate the origins of Hindu traditions and its rich history
  • Understand that there are a variety of beliefs and practices
  • Appreciate the many ways of living as a Hindu
  • Explain some of the different ways of belonging as a Hindu
  • Appreciate some of the key texts and scriptures that are important to many Hindus
  • Explain the key festivals and celebrations
  • Increase their confidence when teaching Hindu traditions to children
