The Jewish Living Experience Exhibition will be in Bournemouth from 2 to 12 November 2026, offering students an interactive introduction to Jewish culture, traditions, and daily life. Through exhibition displays, authentic artefacts, and guided sessions, students will explore topics such as festivals, Shabbat, food, and different Jewish communities. Each visit will last approximately 90 minutes and include an explanation of all the different aspects as well as about the Synagogue.

If you are interested in your students attending the exhibition, please book your place by 30 September. 30 students can be accommodated at each time.

In November 2025, The Hampshire SACRE voted to undertake a review of the RE Syllabus Living Difference IV, as it is required to do by law every five years. This time the SACRE voted to undertake a light touch review and to conclude the review early this year.

This review has now been concluded. Hampshire conducted the review along with the SACRE advisers for the Isle of Wight, Southampton and Portsmouth and all four SACREs have voted to readopt Living Difference IV. There are some very small additions in the text to refer to the Ofsted 2025 framework and the Ofsted 2024 Subject Report for RE and also very few changes in wording, but the Syllabus remains the same for your planning, teaching and assessment.

This means that you can be reassured to know that nothing changes for your RE with regard to the Syllabus and nothing will change for the planning and pedagogy for teaching RE in your school.
