The Religious Education (RE) Moodle+ contains advice and resources developed by the HIAS RE team to support your school’s embedding of the Agreed Syllabus Living Difference III, from KS1-4.

Living Difference IV, is the Agreed Syllabus for Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, the Isle of Wight. An earlier version of this syllabus known as Living Difference III is also used across the London Boroughs of Westminster and Camden. These form the legal documents to be followed for the teaching of RE in these areas. It is the statutory framework which defines how religious education is to be taught in these areas as well as how curriculum should be made. 

Other authorities and schools that wish to adopt this syllabus will need to obtain a license. To do this please contact: re.centre@hants.gov.uk

Resources include:

• leadership and management advice
• materials to support effective the development of advanced RE curriculum planning
• best practice examples, activities and other ideas for teaching RE according to Living Difference III
• materials to ensure progression, raising aspiration and attainment for all children and young people across the key stages
• strategies and resources to develop complex questioning and thinking in RE.
• articles which bring research and educational  thinking about RE as well as ideas to support teachers teach RE well.

Subscription costs 2025/26

Moodle+ subscription prices for this year will remain unchanged. The subscription fees enable us to maintain the sites and add new content regularly:

• Hampshire Maintained with an HTLC subscription: £370
• Non Hampshire Maintained schools with an HTLC subscription: £370 + VAT
• Hampshire Maintained schools without an HTLC subscription: £443
• Non Hampshire Maintained schools without an HTLC subscription: £540 + VAT
