  • Hampshire SACRE advice for schools – issues relating to religion and faith

Hampshire Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) has produced an advice document for issues relating to religion and faith; this document is attached below.

The HIAS RE team receives many requests from schools for advice and guidance on a variety of issues related to RE, such as wearing religious jewellery, clothing and the curriculum, including withdrawal. The RE team has therefore worked with Hampshire SACRE members to help schools with such queries by producing this advice document for Hampshire schools.

The advice document is not intended to be definitive, but rather it seeks to highlight some of the issues that might arise in a school and to provide practical responses. It is intended that this document will be reviewed on a regular basis and further information added as required.
