Topic outline

  • Teaching RE at KS2 with LDIV

At KS2, children are required to study further aspects of what it means to live life in the Christian traditions, as well as depth studies of two additional religious traditions; one across year 3 and 4 and another across year 5 and 6. If the depth studies in KS2 are all selected from the Abrahamic traditions, overview studies must include Dharmic traditions. If there are children from other traditions in the class, the teacher can also include these in an overview study at KS2 as well as study of non-religious perspectives. There is one recommended exemplar long-term plan for KS2 in Living Difference IV; to view, click https://re.hias.hants.gov.uk/ and go to page 49.

In this section you will find KS2 plans and supporting resources for units of work usually explored in the first half of the Autumn term.
